You always felt very welcome when visiting.
Talking to him after Girija (my niece) was born and I said "So you're a great uncle now", he said "Wasn't I always". He was.

Exchanging children at the Rollright stones - VW Camper van - Christmas pillow cases - Listening to Alec and my Dad reminiscing before heading to cousin Shirley's funeral.
When younger, not always understanding his jokes, but appreciating the warmth and humour :)
